Not All Claims Management Firms Are Corrupt
The Ministry of Justice has announced that it will perform an investigation into the PPI claims market after evidence of malpractice was found across the industry.
It was reported that cold callers were manipulating PPI victims with false statements and misleading information about the claims system. This sort of behaviour is inspired by commission fuelled incentives that mean corrupt management firms take a considerable cut from compensation.
Speaking about the allegations, a representative from the Ministry of Justice said:
"We are prioritising complaints about the PPI market and have a dedicated team in place that will take action against companies who break the rules. Claims management companies should remain in no doubt that if they breach the rules they will be closed down."
As we are a claims management firm ourselves, Precision Claims is keen to notify our clients that this sort of malpractice goes against the values of our company. Our team always seek the best results for our clients and take an honest approach in all of our compensation claims cases, PPI or otherwise.
Commenting on the news, Simon Thompson, managing director at Precision Claims, said:
"It is a disappointing to hear that so many claims management firms are abusing their position and taking advantage of their customers.
"At Precision Claims, we always act in the best interests of our clients and this means making sure that they receive the financial compensation that they truly deserve."
"So many consumers have been mis-sold PPI and our role is to rectify this injustice, not to cause further issues"
